Summary

XC PMB Power Management Board provides 5 V/5 A and 3.3 V/1 A regulated outputs, USB power, and a fused supply-voltage output. Ideal for powering controllers, electronic modules and motor driver boards.

Description

The XC PMB simplifies power distribution from a DC battery or power supply. It combines regulated outputs, input reverse-polarity protection and a replaceable automotive fuse in a compact 58.32 × 41.00 mm board.

  • TB1: Battery or DC power input.
  • TB2: External on/off switch connection.
  • JP1: Jumper connection for operation without an external switch.
  • TB3: Fused input-voltage output for compatible loads, including motor driver boards.
  • CN1: Regulated 5 V output, up to 5 A.
  • CN2: Regulated 3.3 V output, up to 1 A, subject to cooling.
  • USB1: Convenient 5 V USB power output.
  • Protection: Input reverse-polarity protection using a diode rated up to 10 A.
  • Included fuse: 5 A automotive fuse for typical applications.

The 5 V outputs share the converter’s total current capacity. Available continuous output current depends on cooling and operating conditions. A different fuse may be fitted only within the current ratings of the board, wiring and connected equipment.

Motor connection: Connect DC motors through a suitable motor driver board. The XC PMB supplies power to the driver; connecting a motor directly to the PMB may damage the board.

Warranty notice: Reverse-polarity protection applies only to the input. Damage caused by short-circuiting any output or connecting an output with reversed polarity is not covered by warranty.
